Security Vulnerability Found in Google Chrome Browser.
A cyber security firm, Imperva Red, discovered a vulnerability in Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers that posed a risk to the data of 2.5 billion users. It was caused by the browser not properly checking if symlinks were pointing to accessible locations. Google addressed the issue with Chrome 108 and users should keep their software up to date to protect themselves against similar vulnerabilities.
